Terms of use

What the site is, what it is not, and how to reuse what you find here.

1.An independent publication

TaxIntellilytics Stories is an independent publication. It is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the Uganda Revenue Authority or any government body. It is built from published sources, each cited where it is used, and gives no tax advice.

2.Sources and their owners

Data and documents belong to the bodies that publish them: the Uganda Revenue Authority, the Uganda Bureau of Statistics, the Ministry of Finance, Parliament, the courts, ATAF and international organisations. Each figure names its source; when you reuse a figure, cite that source as well as this site. See Methodology and How we work.

3.Reusing this site's work

You are welcome to quote, cite and link to the stories, charts and datasets, with credit to "TaxIntellilytics Stories (Kaijamahe Walter Hillary)" and a link to the page. To republish a story or tool in full, or to use the material commercially, write first to walterhillarykaijamahe@gmail.com.

4.Not tax advice

The stories, models and tools (including the Tax CRMP and the Amendment Lab) explain and estimate; they are not legal, tax or accounting advice and do not replace advice on your own facts. Tools marked as using synthetic or illustrative data demonstrate a method and do not describe real taxpayers. The law is stated as at the date shown on each page.

5.Accuracy and corrections

Every figure is computed from its source and the calculations are tested, but errors can happen. If you find one, write to the address above; material corrections are made in public, saying what changed and when.

6.Availability

Pages and tools are provided as they are and may change, move or be withdrawn. Live tools that call third-party data services depend on those services being available.

7.Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Uganda.
